Having lived in New Orleans for the past forty years and having owned three art and antique galleries, I welcomed the opportunity to return to my hometown and purchase the three historic buildings on Cherry Street, Macon. Immediately I began plans for an art and antique gallery at 530 Cherry Street to be named “travis jean”, which is my first and middle name. The gallery opened in March 2014, and now I am busy meeting and greeting customers and old friends and seeking exceptional and unique pieces for my gallery.
Whether you need that perfect wedding or birthday gift, furniture and art for your home, come visit travis jean. In addition to carefully selected Empire, Victorian and Deco styled furniture, the gallery carries a rich and diverse hand-picked collection of contemporary chandeliers, lamps, sconces, mirrors, ceramics, glass, pottery, textiles, even handpicked brooches and pins. We have now expanded our gift collection to include many Georgia Made products.
With my longtime knowledge and acquisition of southern regional art, I am able to offer significant pieces for collectors as well as that perfect painting to accent your lifestyle.
The Gallery occupies what used to be a furniture store in 1899 and in the 1920’s F. W. Woolworth Company. The stunningly renovated historic façade is reason enough to visit 522 and 530 Cherry Street and the lavishly appointed interior reflects the exquisite taste and treasures of travis jean.
